A free tool provided as-is. Use it for anything lawful, keep your originals, and understand that no warranty comes with something given away for nothing.
Agreement
By using jpg-heic.com you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site. They apply to every page and every tool here, and they sit alongside the privacy policy, the disclaimer and the disclosure, which form part of the same agreement.
What you may do
The converters and guides are free to use, for personal and commercial purposes alike, with no account and no limit on file count or size beyond what your own device can handle. You may convert client work, business documents and commercial photography here without asking permission and without attribution.
What you are responsible for
- Having the right to process the images. You must own the files you convert or have permission to handle them. Because conversion happens entirely on your device, this site never receives, stores or has any ability to inspect what you convert — responsibility rests with you.
- Keeping your originals. Conversion creates a new file and never modifies the source, but confirm the output is what you wanted before deleting anything.
- Lawful use. Do not use this site to process material that is unlawful to possess or distribute in your jurisdiction.
- Your own systems. You are responsible for your device, browser and connection, including any memory limits you hit when converting very large batches.
What you may not do
- Attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its hosting.
- Scrape or republish the written guides wholesale, or present them as your own work.
- Frame or embed the tools in a way that misrepresents who operates them.
- Reverse-engineer the site in order to distribute a competing copy of its content.
Provided as-is, with no warranty
The tools and guides are provided as-is and as-available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing here is guaranteed to be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any specific requirement of yours.

Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the person who runs this site is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss arising from your use of it, including lost data, lost profit, lost time, corrupted files, missed deadlines, or costs incurred by relying on a guide. Since the service is provided free of charge, total aggregate liability is limited to zero.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Indemnity
You agree to hold the person who runs this site harmless from claims arising out of your use of it in breach of these terms or of any law, including claims relating to images you had no right to process.
Intellectual property
The text, tables, design and source of these pages are original work and remain the property of the person who wrote them. Linking to pages here, quoting briefly with attribution, and referencing the guides is welcome. Republishing pages wholesale, or reproducing them as training or aggregated content presented as original, is not.
The conversion tools rely on open-source libraries, including libheif, JSZip and jsPDF, which remain under their own licences and belong to their respective authors.
Your files remain entirely yours. Nothing here claims any right over images you convert.
Trademarks and independence
Product names belonging to Apple, Microsoft, Google, Adobe and others appear throughout these guides for one reason: the guides explain how to operate that software. Naming a product in order to describe it is nominative use, and it implies nothing about who made this site.
jpg-heic.com has no relationship with any of those companies, commercial or otherwise. The licences and credits page carries the complete list of marks used here, grouped by the company that owns each one, next to the open-source licences for the code and typefaces this site serves.
Availability and changes
The site may be modified, suspended or withdrawn at any time without notice. Guides are updated as operating systems change, and pages may be rewritten or removed. These terms may be revised; the date at the foot of every page reflects the latest revision, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the country where the person running this site lives, and disputes would be heard there. If you are a consumer, that does not remove any protection your own country gives you: mandatory consumer law where you live still applies, and you keep any right it gives you to bring a claim locally.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force. Failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it.

- Can I republish your guides on my own site?
- No. Linking, brief quotation with attribution and referencing are welcome, but republishing pages wholesale is not permitted.
- Is this site affiliated with Apple or Microsoft?
- No. It is independent and unaffiliated. Product names are used descriptively because the guides explain how to use those products.
